I hate rainy days. They don't stop me from riding, even when I don't have to, but I still don't like them. All the extra time getting ready for the ride is a pain. Not to mention all the extra gear that I have to use. And the deminished senses from wearing the extra gear.
Riding in the rain is a pain, but I have to puch through it.
I ride Wasson Way on almost a daily basis. It's a great new rail-trail that connects Hyde Park with Norwood-Evanston here in Cincinnati. The trail is intended for walkers, bicyclist and Runners as a means for exercise, getting outdoors and making the city more connected with out the use of a car.
Since COVID-19 has joined us, the trail has gotten much busier. Mostly with walkers and runners. When it started, the walkers tended to walk in large herds and seldom yield the lane for opposite direction traffic. Now the herds have gotten smaller, but the observe social distancing by walking side by side six foot apart and, of course, still not yielding the lane to opposing traffic as should be done. On top of this, the ones that walk alone tend to have on earphones and wander from side to side. They, of course, cannot hear the "on the left" call and are a real trail nuance.
I spent the day setting up the forum and news pages. I posted a new reveiw about the Bobgear Ibex trailer. I also started a new thread on the forum page, though I still have a lot of work to do with that page.
This blogging is still new to me. I am hoping to look at someone else's blog to get an idea on how to proceed.
